GLSA Trivia Contest 2015
Think you know all about CUHK, its Faculty of Law and the GLSA? The GLSA Social Committee is inviting its fellow students to participate in the GLSA Trivia Contest, from Monday January 5 to Friday, January 23, 2015, testing their knowledge of the school community for a chance to win 2 FREE tickets to our most highly anticipated event of the year, the GLSA Gala Dinner 2015!
Every Monday, 10 new questions and 1 bonus question will be posted via email, on Blackboard Student Societies E-Bulletin < https://elearn.cuhk.edu.hk > (under "GLSA News & Forum") and on the GLSA Trivia Contest 2015 webpage < http://www.glsacuhk.org/glsa-trivia-contest-2015.html >. Students participating in the contest are required to do research to find the correct answers to these questions. Questions are based on any aspects relating to the GLSA, CUHK, the CUHK Faculty of Law and our student achievements. They will include questions pertaining to current and past GLSA career and social events, as well as information relating to our current and past E-Board executives. Most of the answers can easily be obtained online from various official sources, including the GLSA website <http://www.glsacuhk.org >, the CUHK Faculty of Law website <http://www.cuhk.edu.hk/law/> or just pure googling. However, some questions, especially the bonus questions, may require further in-depth research, thinking, understanding and familiarity of the school community.
Answers must be emailed to social@glsacuhk.org by 5:30 pm every Friday. Please also make sure to provide your name and program/year. Answers will be tabulated, and the correct answers will be posted via email, under GLSA News & Forum on Blackboard Student Societies E-Bulletin and on the GLSA Trivia Contest 2015 webpage, the following Monday. An updated rooster of participating students (providing first and last names only) and their latest scored points will be posted only on the GLSA Trivia Contest 2015 webpage on the same day as well. Thus, there will be new questions for each week during the course of three weeks while their answers and updated list of scores will be posted the following week.
Each question is worth 1 point. By the end of the contest, the maximum number of points that can be obtained is 30 excluding three additional points which can also be achieved from the weekly bonus questions.
The winner, who scores the most points by the end of the contest, will receive a pair of free tickets to this year’s GLSA Gala Dinner 2015. Should there be more than one winner with the most numbered of points, a subsequent draw will be arranged.
Contest is exclusive to current graduate law students of CUHK only.
Requests for clarification or "hints" shall not be entertained unless they would have material signification in the context of the problem. The GLSA Social Committee shall have absolute discretion to determine whether it is necessary to respond to any request for clarification and to resolve such request in a manner in which it thinks fit.
Should you have any questions about the GLSA Trivia Contest itself or this year's Gala Dinner, please do not hesitate to contact us at social@glsacuhk.org.
Put your thinking cap on and may the odds be ever in your favour!
